Chegg and Blackboard Team Up to Launch New Project for Students and Teachers

Chegg, the self-directed learning services giant and Blackboard Inc have teamed up to create new services for students and teachers.

As a stand alone company, Chegg has formed services under Chegg Study, Chegg Tutor and Chegg Career Center. Each of these services were designed with the intent to help students understand their homework and impending exams. These services will now be available to both students and teachers once the new system with Blackboard is up and running.

Nathan Schultz, Chegg’s chief learning officer had this to say about the partnership in a prepared statement:

“Blackboard and Chegg share a commitment to improving student outcomes through high-quality and affordable learning services designed to improve academic and career outcomes. Together, we believe we can deliver powerful learning services to the millions of learners and teachers that Blackboard supports though their innovative learning solutions.”

Jim Hermens, vice president of content partnerships at Blackboard also had a prepared statement of his own, which stated:

“Together, we are working towards a goal shared by students, institutions, faculty, Blackboard and Chegg: better outcomes and higher graduation rates. By providing schools with the opportunity to integrate Chegg Study’s supplemental learning services into our learning environment, students will be in a better position to master their coursework, persist in their schooling and ultimatiely be able to graduate at higher rates than they do today.”
